Client Concern: Am I too old for a Boudoir photo shoot?

Many of my clients are concerned about their age. Some believe that just because they are not in their 20's anymore, they are too old for a photo shoot. Here is what I would love to tell these women:

I get where you are coming from, I really do. Most women we see that have their photographs professionally taken (i.e. models) are super young and fit and have the perfect figure. But that's not you and thank God it isn't.

You may have those wrinkles around your eyes, you may not have a super flat belly because you gave birth to your two children and you may even have some stretch marks - so what? Have you ever thought that these things are the ones that not only make you unique as a person but also tell the story of your life?

You have gone through three, four or maybe even five decades of life experience and that has shaped not only your body but you as a person. It is an incredible accomplishment you can be proud of and should be celebrating rather than judging so critically. You should be proud of how far you have come and your wonderful body was with you every step of the way, so don't be so hard on yourself.

As a Boudoir photographer, the reason why I love working with more mature ladies is because they tend to have this certain aura of having found comfort in themselves and their lives. They have already understood that other people's opinion does not matter as much as they thought when they were young. Are they still nervous? Of course they are. But it is my job to study all their features in detail and by using effective posing techniques and lighting ensure to highlight their beauty.

And I will tell you a secret: the vast majority of my clients are older than 29!

So dear ladies who are not in your 20's anymore,

come to my studio, relax, get pampered with professional hair & make-up and create stunningly sensual images to show that showing that beauty, grace and sensuality is not compromised by age - rather the contrary !
